Already?

I saw a tweet by a friend today.  It reminded us that today is the last day of the month.  Oh my,  how time really flies.  It seems like it was just yesterday that we celebrated Christmas.  Tomorrow it will be February already.  A few months after that my eldest child will have finished high school and after two months she will be moving out to go to college.  I feel so old.  Bummer.

Be Thankful

I chanced upon this saying on the internet. The sign says it all. This should be flashed on the minds of those people who are down or troubled. This sign should be posted on every lowly corner, every sad place, every place where you think that life is hopeless. Let us all be thankful for those small things that are a blessing to us. Happy New Year 2012!.

Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.

Still can't get over Steve Jobs death.

He was an Icon. A Maverick. A Rebel. A Visionary. A Tech Guru. An Innovator.

Here is one of his famous and very inspiring speech during the 2005 commencement exercise at Stanford.

Although I have heard this speech before. I kept on listening to this 15 minute speech now and it is truly inspiring.

Steve Jobs Dies at 56

It is a sad day for the tech world.

Steve Jobs dies at the age of 56.

Apple's founder will be remembered thru the tech that he created.

I always admire Steve for his charismatic personality and his visionary thinking.

My Ipad, Ipod, and Macbook Pro will forever remind me of him.

Thank you for everything Steve! You will be missed.

I need a haircut, again

I need a haircut again.

Ever since I decided to grow my hair, I now go to the barber shop every two weeks.

I used to have a "skinhead" for the past 15 years or more. That is why my visit to the barbershop then was like once a month.

I don't want to style my hair.

I never had a comb. I never had a gel or anything to put on my hair except shampoo.

I want to wake up not caring what my hair looks like.

Those are the reasons why I love my skinhead.

But, its almost a year now since I let my hair grow.

I don't know how long I can hold on. Hahaha.

Tomorrow, I will let the barber decide what kind of haircut I am going to get.

I just hope he does his job well.

Rain

I love the rain.

It's raining outside now.

It makes me want to go out and take a shower in the rain.

When I was younger, I love to bathe in the rain.

I remember my brother and I would stand under the downspout and enjoy the cold rain rushing down too cool our bodies.

We would splash, run, jump, and have fun under the rain. We really had a great time when we were kids.

I remember our hair would be as soft as silk after each shower and that our fingers would crinkle while we dress up and drink hot Milo.

I would want to go out and do the things I did back then. But now, when it rains, I would just sit inside my room and look out the window while listening to my favorite music in my Ipod.

I still love the rain. I do, and one of these days, I would go out to splash, run, jump and have fun in the shower of the rain.

Carpe Diem!

SEIZE THE DAY!

That's what it means.

The movie Dead Poet's Society popularized this phrase.

I read somewhere that it came from a line in Horace in his Odes.

If you really think of it, we should live life as if there is no tomorrow for tomorrow is always uncertain.

We should capture each opportunity that comes along, for some of them only comes once.

An idle brain is the devil's workshop. Let's be productive.

Seize the day with your love one's, your family and your friends.

Enjoy life to the fullest. Don't waste time.

By Horace:
"Dum loquimur, fugerit invida
Aetas: carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero"

it means:

While we are talking, envious time is fleeing: pluck the day, put no trust in the future.

CARPE DIEM MY FRIEND, CARPE DIEM!!
